There are no 'rules' for submitting a review to the 'White
Dog Guide to Motorcycle Oil', however, there are a few guidelines
we would ask people to bear in mind.
1) Make sure the article you are submitting is about a Motorcycle Oil, or related product, the
reviews section is not there to place advertisements for
viagra substitutes or 'miracle undertackle growth pills'
2) Try to be as descriptive as possible in your reviews.
Avoid statements like 'don't use somesuch oil, I used it
& it's crap!'
Try & explain why the product didn't perform well &
in what areas it failed. Alternatively, try to avoid phrases
like 'use it, it's good!', try to explain the areas where
the product worked well.
3) Try to remember, not everyone who visits this site is
a motorcycle mechanic with 20+ years experience & a
degree in mechanical engineering. Try & make the review
fairly simple & easy to understand. Re-read the review
before you submit it, & think 'would I have understood
this when I first started motorcycling?'
Avoid long & complicated engineering terms as it doesn't
impress anyone & it just looks like you swallowed a
dictionary!
4) Swear words are acceptable, if used in context, but
we will partially block out any f**king swear words.
Acceptable use of swear words: 'going
down the road the engine started to clonk & then bl**dy
blew up'
Unacceptable use of swear words: 'I f**king
got up this morning, ate me f**king breakfast, rode me sh**ting
bike to a f**king mates house, shouted "oi, w**ker,
get yer f**king a**e outside f**king now you f**king c**t",
then the f**king bike f**king f**ked up & broke down'
5) Reviews must not contain any inflammatory or extreme
views, or incite any form of race hate.
6) Any links, addresses or contact details of suppliers
or retailers will be removed before posting. The reviews
section is for honest user reviews & not a free form
of advertising.
We reserve the right to refuse any review we deem
inappropriate. Final judgment remains solely with White
Dog Motorcycle Accessories editors.
