The oil drain plug and filter on the Hondas 650 Deauville<\/a> can be tricky to find as, although they are located near to where most bikes have the drain plug and filter located on the Deauville the set up is a little bit different.<\/p>\n

Note – The filter and drain bolt locations should be the same for all NT650V Deauville models (1998 to 2005).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Both the drain plug and filter are accessed from the bottom\/left side of the bike (obviously, that’s the bottom\/left of the engine!).<\/p>\n

The oil drain bolt is located on the lower\/left side of the engine, just under the water pump pipe joint (where the water pump goes from the silver casing to the black pipe).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Note – The oil drain bolt is a 17mm bolt and should be tightened to 29nm when putting it back.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The oil filter is located on the bottom\/back of the engine<\/strong><\/p>\n

The oil filter can be accessed from the bottom\/left side of the bike and is located on the back of the engine, directly behind the water pump.<\/p>\n

Note – The oil filter should be tightened to 10nm. If you don’t have a suitable torque wrench, as a rough guide, the filter should be tightened with a wrench a QUARTER TURN past finger tight (and remember to rub some oil on the filter rubber sealing gasket before installing).<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
